Chinese authorities to enhance the protection of scientific innovations

Chinese authorities have passed a series of Opinions aiming at improving the financial support for innovations with a scientific nature.

The People's Bank of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the China Banking Regulatory Commission, the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, and the State Intellectual Property Office participated in this initiative.

The main new features are : the diversification of financing possibilities, the support and undergoing of M&A, as well as the statement that a reform of the Intellectual Property Office is needed. More flexibility is also planned concerning issuance conditions for patents.
